The concept
for Acoustic Wedding was inspired by the recent marriage Mark's oldest
daughter Jaime.
"As Jaime was preparing for her upcoming
wedding, I knew I would not be in emotional shape to perform live music for
her ceremony. I decided to record classical pieces in advance that would
mean a lot to her, and that she could use during her wedding ceremony. These
masterpieces have endured the test of time. She helped me choose the songs,
and Acoustic Wedding was born. The selections enhanced her special day in an
elegant, fresh way. It has been exciting to release this CD, and I am
overjoyed to receive encouraging notes of thanks from other brides around
the world telling me what this music meant to their wedding day."
Mark's guitar work is
inspired by Michael Hedges, John Michael Talbot, Will Ackerman,
and Phil Keaggy.
